Scruton has a lot of material that is definitely worth reading from a Traditional perspective. I recommend Understanding Music if you liked this video. He does great work with criticizing Adorno and one-sided approaches to music of the 20th century. I'd also recommend his comparison between Janáček and Schoenberg's approach to harmony. Overall a very useful book to read.

To me it is pretty "simple". If it is harmonic and uses good cymatic frequencies (which can be told intuitively by an un-ruined un-modern person) it is alright. I use cymatic frequency music a lot for meditation. There is a list that kind of makes sense.
